2016 Annual Meeting
2016 Annual Homeowners Meeting
A Letter from the president of the Providence Club Homeowners association for April 2016

On Tuesday evening April 12 our annual Homeowners meeting was held at the Bold Springs Methodist Church. We have posted the power point presentation on our website for your review. Each member of the board delivered a presentation related to their HOA responsibilities. One question for our co treasure Bob Kutchback was how much the Providence Club HOA have in our financial reserve, $180,000.00 was the reply. This amount is approximately one year of annual expenses for the PC. Another question was for a new updated homeowner’s directory. We ask all residents to go to the residents only section on the website and help us update your information. We have many new residents in the last 3 years and we also have many residents who do not have a listed email address. Email addresses for the board can be very helpful in our communications with residents and also may aid us with homeowner’s dues which can be invoiced electronically, assisting us with lowering our printing and mailing costs. Please take the time review and update your address and contact information.

We also requested volunteers for some HOA committees. The welcome committee is in need of additional help, some social events such as the family night movies, July 4th parade and others. Please check with Steve Smith 9010@comcast.net.

We took a brief moment to acknowledge that Jerry Bowen and the ARB board who have done a masterful job keeping our community looking as the most admired sub division in Walton County.

Our Guest speakers were as follows:
  • Ron Morrison the Providence Beautification committee, he gave some suggestions concerning the tree and root pruning. He also asked if the community would like to have a community garden. He will research an area for this and please check the website for additional information concerning this. He also told the community that the Yard of the Month will resume in May.
  • Dave Ayers the Providence Club Golfing Pro: Dave informed the community of some of the programs offered to young and old golfers at the Club. He also let the community know that some renovations will be made at the clubhouse shortly.
  • Sherriff Joe Chapman- Sheriff Chapman addressed driving Golf Carts on roads. He asked all to use caution when driving and also for parents refrain from having young children driving their carts on streets. He also addressed speeding in the neighborhood and asked that residents adhere to the 25MPH restriction. He also gave information concerning the duties of the Walton County Sheriff Department
  • Deputy Darren Benson who is in charge of Neighborhood Watch in Walton County, distributed registration forms who residents who would like to be a part of this committee.
  • Deputy Bill Wise of the Animal control department. Barking and roaming dogs where addressed, in which he replied that barking dogs are really the main responsibility of the dog owner and his department is very limited in what they can do to barking dogs. Again asking residents to talk to the owners of excessive barking dogs and control the situation.

The meeting was attended with approximately 60 homeowners, we encourage all to attend these meetings, not only to see what the HOA board is doing and also to meet your neighbors
